A TALKER WHO’S A DOER

By Michelle Malkin  •  July 3, 2004 05:06 AM

Conservative radio talk show host Bryan Suits, who has a program on one of my favorite stations, KVI-AM in Seattle, was wounded on Thursday while serving in Iraq. An enemy-fired mortar round exploded 10 feet from him; he caught some shrapnel in his wrist and had a mild concussion from the blast.

According to the Seattle Times, Suits, who is a National Guardsman with the Washington-based 81st Brigade, called into the station yesterday at 10 a.m. local time, telling his colleagues and listeners, “I feel like the Mariners beat me with their baseball bats ? not this year’s Mariners, the 2002 Mariners.” He told the station he will stay in Iraq after recovering from his injuries.

Suits can be reached at bsuits@fisherradio.com.
