QUOTE OF THE DAY

By Michelle Malkin  •  July 13, 2004 09:25 AM

“You’ve gotta like a senator who is a pooper picker-upper,” said Connie Thompson of Laurel, Md., upon seeing Senator Ted Kennedy cleaning up after his dog, Splash (!).

I’ll leave the comments to you all.

Considering that he went through 6 and half years of Nixon, 8 years of Red Ink, 4 years of Poppy and ran for POTUS, I’d say that makes him an expert.

FWIW, the only person who doesn’t curb in my neighborhood is a trial lawyer who currently populates his yard with Bush/Cheney posters.

I’ve suggested to him that he takes one of those posters with him and just let the dog do its business on that but he hasn’t yet. He usually only needs to hear a suggestion once to follow it, too. When I suggested to him that the lumps “Dakota” left on my yard were going to be the basis for his new house color, he began passing by my house on the other side of the street. Thankfully, or fortunately for him, his sweet wife walks the dog most of the time.
