Quote fo the day
Courtney Love reveals the reason for her crack-up:
The last thing I want to say is, ‘I’m a victim’, but I am. I believe it’s a trickledown from Bush … I should have done an audit. I should have done face-time with people. That is true. But did I bring it on myself? I don’t think so.

That extra triple iced mocha I had last week…definitely trickledown from Bush. I freely admit he controls my espresso-based drinking habit.
I knew it! Bush made me miss that putt yesterday too! He’s EVERYWHERE!
I’m a little bit behind on my work today. But because of the president, I’m here commenting on a blog site. I really should get back to work, but because of the president’s nefarious activities, I need to monitor politics closely on the Web so I’m ready — just in case.
“I should have done an audit.”
So Courtney is a Scientologist? Or is she just a big fan of the IRS?
You can’t parody this kinda stuff
bwahahahaha…
Hey! Don’t forget about Cheney and Halliburton! They must have had something to do with this as well!
Message to Courtney:
Reality is for people that can’t handle drugs.
The Black Helicopters are everywhere!!!!
Remember – these are the morons we are supposed to look up to (solely due to celebrity status), and listen to their deep and prokoving opinions on matters like…foreign policy.
I now understand why I lust so for Michelle. Bush made me do it! I KNEW it had absolutely nothing to do with a weakness in my character.
I’m SO relieved.
Well,…that fixes everything, doesn’t it?
I’m sure that to her, her daughter is only a “trickledown” result, too.
I also understand that W. is responsible for Michael Jackson’s nose.
Now I can see why Hollywood dolts and fakes vote for Democrats. They “spin” endlessly.
Another reason to vote for Bush. He makes crazy, public embarassments like Love crumble.
“Vote Bush: the Skankslayer!”
Brilliant. It’s Bush’s fault … this from a trashy skank-ho who shot up heroin while she was pregnant. Bet that was Bush’s fault too.
Are you sure that she said this? According to Elton John, celebs are afraid to speak their minds in the US.

Then again, maybe their real fear is of being found out as idiots. In Courtney’s case it’s (way) too late.
“Reality is for people that can’t handle drugs.”
Think I’ll make that my personal motto.
They say the office of President of the U.S. is the most powerful position in the world – but who’da guessed he was THAT omnipotent. Geez.
I thought the left didn’t believe in the trickle down effect…
i think she meant “bush” the way whoopi goldberg used it recently.

C’mon – picking on mentally ill druggies isn’t really fair. however I have just recently heard she will be replacing Joe Wilson as an advisor for the Kerry campaign.
What scares the hell out of me is that there are some idiots out there that will read this comment by Love in the paper or on line and say to themselves:
“ya know… She’s RIGHT!!!”
Ok, so that might not be that scary, but the fact that these same people also are allowed to vote…
Her problems are presumably (A) grief over the suicide of her husband and (B) drug addiction.
Is ridicule of the unfortunate truly the righteous thing to do?
“Is ridicule of the unfortunate truly the righteous thing to do?”
No, but ridicule of the stupid sure is; and Ms. Love fits right smack dab into the middle of that group.
Michelle,
Am I understanding this right?
Am I to believe that NOW liberals are buying into the concept of trickledown?
Um… I believe she’s talking about “Bush”, the name of her former band. Not the current US President.
That band would be “Hole” not “Bush”.
That band would be “Hole” not “Bush”.>>>>>
technicalities Digger, technicalities…
Courtney is so misunderstood.. :^)
Yeah, Digger, Courtney had nothing to do with the band Bush. You can tell because they didn’t suck. Nor did The Presidents of the United States of America…
The band, not the guy. Also named Bush, by the way. Uh-oh… it’s black helicoper time…
The Corner has some links to Courtney quotes with the headline, “Bush drives Courtney love crazy”
Surely a trip that short could have been made on foot.
OK I wanna know why every article gushes about what a GREAT ACTRESS she is, COME ON ! Really, how much of a stretch is it for her to play a strung out hag? She did a fantastic job of playing HERSELF! There are few humans on this earth I truly despise, and she’s at the top of the list. Poor Frances. Kurt must be rolling in his grave.
If Kerry isn’t elected, I foresee an outcry for Federal money to fund the exploding need for Bush Recovery Clinics.
Steve–
Say what you will about Courtney Love, but Live Through This was a far, far superior album to anything Bush has put out. Far superior… Yes, I’m serious. It was one of the best rock albums of the 90’s.
Recently, a favorite grocery store/deli in the Columbia University area, the West Side Market, shut down, along with all the other establishments in its building, to make way for new construction. On the boarded-up facade, many neighborhood folk wrote comments, mostly fond farewells– but there was one anti-corporate entry that was headed: “IT’S BUSH’S FAULT.” Stranger than fiction.
Trickledown from bush? Sounds like she needs some antibiotics.
Yes, those drugs did a major job on Courtney’s brain.
Had to wash my car last weekend due to “trickle down” from, er, birds!
