ABC News reports tonight: Heinz Kerry Tells Reporter To Shove It

Teresa Heinz Kerry urged her home-state delegates to the Democratic National Convention to restore a more civil tone to American politics, then minutes later told a newspaperman to “shove it.”

Hey, did I call this or what? Flashback, Jan. 28, 2004, Howard Dean in a Dress:

It’s only a matter of time before we witness another Howard Dean Moment in the Democratic presidential race — but not, I predict, from any of the Democratic presidential candidates. Skulking in the campaign background is a ticking time bombette with a volatile temper and acid tongue who makes Dean look like Mr. Rogers on Prozac…

Tick, tick, tick.

How does the last paragraph of the article apply to the story? Wow - talk about gratuitous Cheney slamming.

“Vice President Dick Cheney recently came under criticism for using a four-letter obscenity in an exchange with Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., on the Senate floor. He later was unapologetic about the remark, saying: “I felt better after I said it.’”

John Kerry is a man driven by two things: love of money and love of power. When he fulfilled his “infinite riches” fantasy by marrying Theresa, he didn’t realize that he was also taking on a HUGE liability WRT his political ambitions. Now, the honeymoon is over, and Theresa is dragging Kerry’s presidential chances down, down, down. He must be livid with Theresa for doing so much damage to his presidential hopes — but he can do little about it because she is his goose with golden eggs.

The Bush’s are so wise to keep their head above all the garbage smears, slimy innuendoes, and lies that are constantly thrown at them. What a class act. They apparently know that “truth will out.”

What is being shown here is that the side that hates and gleefully admits it hates can dish it out, but can’t take the least little criticism itself.

This actually exposes the biased of the AP itself. They can not see the liberal ideology being exposed in the mainstream media because it is a position they agree with, and therefore view as central on the political landscape.

Only organizations with a different way of telling the news (one we like to refer to as “just reporting the news”) must be “conservative”, and therefore discredited.

Hey, anyone remember what George W. Bush said about NY Times reporter Adam Clymer during the 2000 race? On September 9, 2000, while sitting on the dais at a campaign event Bush spotted Clymer in the crowd and then turned to Cheney and said “There’s Adam Clymer, a major league [expletive deleted]hole,” to which Cheney responded “Oh, yeah, he is. Big time.” Unfortunately they forgot their mikes were on….

Of course, there’s a slight difference between these two cases. One case was the Republican presidential candidate and a sitting governor using an obscenity, the other is the wife of a candidate not using an obscenity. Other than that no difference at all…..

Teresa Heinz Kerry. I’ve always wondered about her. First of all, what kind of parents would give their daughter a middle name like Heinz. It’s a ketchup, for heaven’s sake, not the name for a little girl. I thought MY middle name was bad (Kennedy, ugh!), but that one’s just awful. It’s like they must have wanted her to grow up angry and liberal.

When she told the newspaperman to “shove it”, he should have said “shove what??”! That’s what I would of done.

Personally I feel that we Republicans (The best party ever!) need to counter pushy woman like THK with a little “pushing” of our own. My suggestion - repeal the 19th amendment! If it weren’t for a bunch of Liberal “do gooders” giving women the vote - in clear contradiction of God’s (The best God ever) laws, woman like THK would be at home right now - barefoot and pregnant.

I know that Michelle’s been busy with other topics (Like Courtney Love’s campaign to burn down orphanages), but I’m sure that, before the end of the year, she’ll join other conservative columnists in calling for the repeal of the most ungodly, secular, liberal amendment since amendments one through ten, inclusive.

Let’s compare the two incidents a little more; take a look at Clymer’s “journalism”, and tell me that the President wouldn’t refer to him as an asshole in what he thought was a private comment.

Now look at Mrs. Kerry’s comment. She tells a reporter to ’shove off’ after he had the bad taste to refer her back to her own “un-American” quote, which she denied saying (even after she was recorded saying it). A little different, eh?

And since we’re bringing back these old quotes, what’s your take on Kerry calling the Secret Service agent protecting John’s life a “son of a bitch”, simply coz little Johnny couldn’t keep up with his GenX snowboarding, and got a booboo falling down?

It takes adults to admit they were wrong and apparently neither she or Kerry know this simple fact.

She is going to be put on the back burner if she keeps this up and I wonder how she will take it, she hasher own mind and nothing Kerry would

Had it just been a case of her telling off a reporter, I think a lot of us would’ve cheered.

However, there were a couple thing that make what she did wrong. First, she was talking about the need for civility, then she tells someone to shove it. That comes across as hypocritical.

To me, the bigger problem is that when asked to clarify something she’d just said, her first reaction was to repeatedly lie and deny she said it despite it being on tape.

As for Bush and Clymer, it wasn’t a good move on his part, but at least he was telling the truth. Clymer is a major league asshole. Notice how virtually no one ever refuted that?
