After the first new serious attack I just dare one of you pissants that’s whining about Racial Profiling to pop your head up and open your pie-hole. Niceties are of literaly ZERO concern when a Total War of Survival is being fought. and that’s part of the problem, those on the left are fighting the President, not the enemy,therefore they do not believe the threat is real. The Militant Islamists said they were at WAR with us and we ignored them. Now they say they need to kill 3-5 million of us to break out spirit and defeat us. Nah, theyre just kidding, they don’t mean it, and all those dead people on 9-11 never really happened, that was a Hollywood movie trying to stir up (yuck!) PATRIOTISM.

I actually thought that your first post was sarcasm. Now I realize you actually meant what you said. Unfornuately, the lack of logic and reason in your first post was the reason I assume it was sarcastic. However, now that I know you are a student, I can understand my error.

Please recall that inoffensive Arabs had taken 4 planes and crashed them into buildings that held 50,000 people. The people were able evacuate and only lost about 3000. The planes were also aimed at the US legislature which a very direct act of war. If Americans ignored obvious signs of airline passengers of Arab extraction behaving in a suspicious manner, like they were about to hijack another airplane, then we would be stupid. Remember the saying, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, then shame on me.

Americans do not intend to fade way and go extinct. The French might face extinction with the increasing muslim population increasing way beyond ethnic French population. I would suggest that you open your eyes and see how the future may look in France in 20-30 years.

Also please elucidate why Americans would be jealous of France’s popularity with the Muslim world. How has that benefited your nation?

Plus why should Americans steal oil when we are the richest nation and can simply buy it. Much cheaper to buy oil than conquer a nation to appropiate it. Iraq cost a lot more than buying the oil would to the US. Please grow up and use your brain.

I agree with the scarf ban…we need to cure all relgionists of their silly superstitions. As long as they become good French citizens, the Arabs and Turks can stay.

What I find alarming is the fact that Congress feels it necessary to waste taxpayer money and security officials’ time poking into this matter. Homeland Security and the Air Marshalls service ought to be able to work out for themselves whether stepped-up measures are needed. Could it be that the public hysteria over this episode is leading legislators to put on a tough front? Any time wasted in unneccesary congressional navel-gazing is a victory for terrorism. The Judiciary Committee should let the security officials get on with doing their jobs — which, from all appearances, is exactly what they have been doing.

As a preamble, I find I generally agree with the Liberal Avenger– this story is nothing but hype and panic due to racial profiling.

I have had one intriguing thought however. If the stars actually were alligned and these musicians were in fact terrorists who were trying to assemble a bomb/weapon in parts (or doing a dry run), why would they do it on the plane where their actions might be obvious. They could just have easily assembled it in any of the airport bathrooms after they passed security, or in the Northwest passenger lounge (they could have reserved a conference room and assembled it there) or in any number of less conspicuous places. They could have then brought the device on board in a carry on bag.

9/11 and the shoe bomber demonstrated that the terrorists are not only evil but clever. If people are going to be paranoid, they might as well be paranoid and think as cleverly as possible.
