Right on, James! If they spent half the energy they do complaining about how bad they have it here (conveniently ignoring the fact they are here illegally) imagine the change they could accomplish in thier own country. Rather than stay and fight and push for change, they automatically give up and head here..

Those who want to come here for economic reasons would do better by directing their energies in their home countries and effecting change there for political and economic change.

As for those of you whining about Michelle being “anti-immigrant” that’s the standard label liberals give anyone who expresses any opinion that even vaguely hints of negativity toward illegal aliens. Yawn. Get a new pro-open-borders label.

You lack a basic understanding of SIMPLE economics. You preach about low pay that unskilled and low skilled workers get…do you know why? mass immigration of unskilled/low skilled labor…economics 101 supply and demand…more unskilleded/low skilled workers means lower wages. Fewer workers for those jobs means higher wages…so stuff the complaint about low wages for unskilled/low skill workers by immigrating in mass they are driving their own wages down.
And as far as the government and corporations sharing the blame I agree that the immigration reform act of 1986 should be enforced, but every time it is attempted the liberals scream racism…look at what happened in California when the ICE started sweeps. But it has to be handled from both ends top and bottom.
And as far as basic heath care…millions of native born and legal immigrants do not have basic health care…are you saying that illegal immigrants should have more rights then citizens and legal immigrants?

And LA I don’t send fruit baskets to anyone. And you may think it raises everyones standard of living but not always in communities that rely on unskilled jobs nor communies that have to bear the brunt of illegal immigration.
