Well, Brian J. I would say you’ve kind of missed the point. Real men do what they do indeed, except the media and entertainment business is attempting to redefine what a real man is. It is through this false front of unisexual b.s. that the code emerges and sheds light on the subject.
We don’t ask that you change who you are, we merely outline what it means to be a man. (Yes we certainly missed points go add some)

The retosexual code stems from the frustrations of men who are tired of being told we have to be in touch with our feminine side. We are sickened by the proliferation of demasculating media whores.
What people tend to miss I have noticed, is the tongue in cheek approach given to Grau’s very serious message. The message being, men shouldn’t be women, that’s what women are for. There is nothing wrong with being presentable, we encourage bathing adn grooming. There is just no need for hundreds of toiletries in a man’s bathroom. We don’t encourage violence per se, but we expect you to be able to handle yourself if it becomes neccessary.
What really worries me is when I see how the media and public education system are trying to systematically remove ANY sense of gender difference. Men and women are different, get over it. I could go on, and on I guess, but I suggest you follow the links to the original. Just remember that if you look through the sarcasm, and obvious jokes, there is an undeniable truth to what the “Code” stands for.

Since then, it’s taken a life of it’s own, been added to by hundreds of Retrosexuals across the internet, and spread far and wide. Usually without a link back to the source, hence this comment
