I think part of the increased rates of asthma are increased numbers of children who would have died in past years from complications of asthma and related illneses. The techniques/technology of saving and lengthening the lives of people with asthma gets better every year.

Also several of the deliberately misquided (i.e. liberal) posters have brought up this "allergens are air pollution" as if that proves that republicans have created them. The point is that things like smoke, cockroach droppings and living in filth are self induced air pollution, and not attributable to any political party.

Hey I just stubled on this thread, and it's very compelling reading. i've been listening to the various aspects of these aruments go back and forth and back and forth... You all are some interesting posters.

But when are all you homo republicans going to start ass-fuking each other? You don't have to wait for the convention, you know.. The tension is unbearable in here.

I think Stuart is dreaming of some Baklava spilling down his cheeks. Yuum.

LA is a nihilist perception moron. Without being consciously aware of it, these people remake reality moment to moment. You can completely box them in rhetorically, and they will tell themselves (and then believe) that your argument never existed. Inconvenient facts get filtered out or hidden behind barriers to objective perception. Because of this, they talk at you, not to you.

This is because they are limbic system dominated, i.e., reptilian. Everything revolves around primitive considerations, territoriality, herding, fear, agression, in-group/out-group identification, etc.

LA's problem with the facts is that they are being uttered by people who are not in his herd. So he/she struts, preens, squawks, postures, and expands a reddened throat pouch, while making gutteral sounds in order to mark territory, like some hissing lizard on a beach.

Like I said, they're completely unaware of all this, and the perception filtering takes place mostly sub-consciously. So you hold up an undistorted mirror like this to them, and they'll forget all about it in a few minutes.

Squawk.

Liberal Avenger says:
"How Republicans discredit an opponent:
Lesson #1: Attack"

...which is LA's number one tactic.

Hm. Are you saying you're a Republican, LA, or just a hypocrite?

I'm confused. What's all the fuss about bake sales for body armor? I thought it was going to be a wonderful day when the Pentagon had to hold bake sales. Don't tell me this is another Democrat flip-flop!
As for John "Band of Mongols" Kerry, after he voted for the $87 billion for the Iraq war, he voted against it because it included no-bid contracts. Freedom from No-bid Contracts wasn't in FDR's Four Freedoms, and in the unlikely event it is in any GI's list of 400 Freedoms I'm Fighting For, it's way behind Freedom from Shrapnel through My Thorax.
I'd advise any GI tempted to buy the "Help is on the way" blather to read the fine print, except that Kerry doesn't tell you what the fine print is until it's nuance time.

Sky king, you don't know me, and you don't know anything about me. "Spoofing conservatives?" I'm a True conservative in every form of the word - and I'm sick of so-called "conservatives" who hold liberal views not dissimilar from those of the pinko Kerry and his swinger girlfriend Edwards. It's time for us to move our party back to the right and away from the hands of the posers!

If you find me humorous, I think there's simply something wrong with your gay views, because I speak the Truth. If you think it's funny, then you're thinking the wrong things.

I've fought for this country and could have died and would have, just so these views will rein forever. Now I'm continuing the fight from here in the hills of North Virginia and I ain't alone. We've got the numbers and we're right!

I thought he said "hair pollution" too, when I heard it.

Then I figured he must have meant "air pollution".

Then I figured the number, and whatever "science" was behind it, was probably full of crap.

Beth:

Thanks for your kind reply, I forgive you and sorry for getting my panties in a bunch.

And you're right: homosexuality is a ticket to hell. Sexual devients of all sorts: gays, bi's, transgendered freakos, child molestors, swingers - they're all less than human and only tools of Satan, here to tempt us. Like that night in Vegas. Damn them all.

Stuart:

Obviously I can't tell you what to say or not to say - I'm not trying to. I just suggested, based on my own perception of your remarks, that I didn't find your recent remark helpful or interesting, and I rather doubt that anyone else did.

I'm not in the least interested in being PC. In fact, I think "political correctness" is one of our nation's biggest problems. I was actually objecting to the pettiness of your remark. It seems to me that things like that simply give individuals like Gs ammunition to sling at us: "Look, the best argument they can come up with is to call their opponents sluts." That was my problem with your other post too - I was actually referring to any potential racist interpretations, not the homosexuality thing.

As a matter of fact, I'm one of those horrible, intolerant people who think homosexuality in any form is wrong.

So, no, I'm not gay.
