Update: E-mail of the morning from someone who works in one of the targeted buildings:

My co-worker here at one of the buildings on highest alert for the current warnings of truck bombs in northern NJ just came in and stated matter of factly that all of this security was pre-RNC manipulating our sense of fear. Another agreed with her immediately. I stood up over my cube, looked at them, and as politely and ‘corporately’ as possible said it wasn’t an original thought, Howard Dean said it within the past 48 hours, and that even Schumer said that sort of thinking is a load of crap. They shut up immediately, haven’t said a word since, and glare at me whenever they walk by now. They also don’t care for my copies of NR and Weekly Standard on my desk. Ah the price I pay.
