Hi Michelle,

I am activated to go to NYC for the Republican National Convention security mission.

In spite of the fact that Mayor Bloomberg doesn’t want the NRA at the convention, the ironic thing is that many of the soldiers in my unit are NRA members, have NYS pistol licenses (which by the way are “not valid” in NYC where we are tasked with protecting), and have our own legally purchased called “assault weapons” by cosmetic definition only.

NY Army National Guard soldiers, who also are NRA members, carrying real “assault weapons” that fire automatic, not semi-automatic, (our issue M-16 rifles), providing security for the city of the very man who bad mouths us. Unreal, isn’t it?
