TERRORISM’S “DISTURBING TREND”

By Michelle Malkin  •  September 23, 2004 12:29 PM

Bob Felton at Civil Commotion takes USA Today to task for a mealy-mouthed headline:

USA Today notes a growing problem:

Disturbing trend shows that terrorists see no limits on their violence

As it happens, that headline appears in only the print edition, on page A-2; it is not in the online version of the story.

“Disturbing trend?” After the death of 3000 Americans in an attack intended to kill tens of thousand more ? to cripple the American economy, destroy its military nerve-center, and to kill the executive ? and after dozens more attacks around the world, and after the beheading of dozens of civilians … USA Today’s editors note a “disturbing trend?!”

It gets yet more pathetic…

Read the rest. I second Bob’s commotion!
