CELEBRATE LIFE
Today’s my birthday (34 in case you and Chris Matthews were wondering). It’s funny how your own birthday becomes of less and less consequence when you have kids, or at least that has been my experience. My four-year-old daughter asked yesterday why we weren’t having a big party. (Birthday=Party).
“Mommy, don’t you need to go to The Party Store?”
“Why?”
“To buy decorations.”
“Why?”
“Because it’s your birthday!”
Conversation turned quickly to plans for her big birthday party…eight months away. Pool party or gymnastics party? All-day or sleepover? Brother Bear or Bratz decorations? (Grrr…don’t get me started on Bratz.)
Anyway, blogging will be light the rest of the day. We’re going to attempt to make a birthday pumpkin pie. If you have a good recipe (we’re using fresh pumpkin and would prefer something without a crust) and can send along before 10am, please do so!

By the way, here’s my birthday wish, if you felt like digging into your pockets today. Check out and donate to the following charities that honor the preciousness of life:
Garden of Angels
Thank you!
