AN UPDATE ON THE INTEL REFORM BILL

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 5, 2004 04:50 PM

This afternoon, Rep. Jane Harman (D-California) told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that maverick Republican Jim Sensenbrenner has “been accommodated” in the House-Senate conference committee that is coming up with a compromise intelligence/immigration reform bill.

Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, agreed with Harman that the concerns of Sensenbrenner have been addressed. “There have been a lot of compromises on this bill,” he said. “It has come a long, long way.”

I’ll be interested to see what exactly the compromise bill looks like and await a statement from Sensenbrenner himself. More on the intel reform bill here and here.
