WARM UP THE TROOPS

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 20, 2004 09:43 AM

Move America Forward notes that a nasty cold front is expected in Afghanistan in a few days:

According to weather forecasts by The Weather Channel and Weather Underground, a front will bring cold air, high winds and significant snows to many areas in Afghanistan this week.

The worst of the weather is expected to impact the region between Thursday, December 23rd and Sunday December 26th. The “White Christmas” will be pretty to look at, but tough on the men and women of our Armed Forces. Low temperatures will drop to the upper teens/lower twenties throughout much of the country during the week.

To warm up the troops, Move America Forward and the Cornerstone Coffee Company have set up a program to donate coffee to members of our armed forces serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Update: Lots of readers want to know about whether Starbucks is anti-military. Apparently, the mass e-mail is a hoax. Here’s some background.
