A FARMER’S CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 21, 2004 10:20 AM

Last night, I linked to the sad story of a widow who died because she couldn’t pay her electricity bill.

Now, reader Chris Devries sends along this uplifting story about an Iowa farmer who paid his whole town’s electricity bills–all due on Christmas day. Said the farmer, Richard Hamann:

The Lord has been very good to us and so have the people of this community, so I always thought we ought to be doing something in return if we could.

Kleenex alert.
