Meddling California politicians have passed, among other Big Nanny measures, a law banning kids from tanning salons and another that levies fines against children for playing with toy and BB guns that look too much like the real weapons. Critics are calling the legislature’s overintrusive push “Nanny 916.”

Next thing you know, they’ll be cracking down on homeschoolers to “protect” the children. Oh, wait, they tried that, too.
