REMEMBERING THE MUDSLIDE VICTIMS

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 13, 2005 11:00 AM

Last night, I mentioned La Conchita mudslide victim Jimmy Wallet, whose wife and three young daughters died in the wreckage after he left his house to get them ice cream. Wallet and a surviving daughter were staying in the house owned by another mudslide casualty, Charlie Womack. A reader has passed along information about a memorial fund for Womack and the Wallets:

Charlie Womack Memorial Fund and the Wallet Family Memorial Fund
Santa Barbara Bank & Trust
P.O. Box 60645
Santa Barbara, CA 93160-0645
(888) 400-7228
