UPDATE ON BABY JORDAN

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 26, 2005 02:21 PM

Time is running out for Baby Jordan, the newborrn in need of a heart transplant. The latest update on his condition is here. An excerpt:

As some of you may have seen on the Fox News Channel, our little Baby Jordan is quite a fighter. He approaches his 5th day on the heart bypass and is still stable. What this means is that there is no indication that his other organs or bodily functions have deteriorated and he remains a strong candidate for a heart transplant. He can probably go a few days longer on the bypass while awaiting a donor. This is the best we can hope for at this time - aside from a heart, of course.

Earlier, we got word that there was a donor in South Carolina that could potentially benefit Jordan. Although there was such a donor, another critical baby in closer proximity to the donor will receive (or hopefully already has received) this heart. We are genuinely happy that another baby in this terrible situation got a chance at life and we couldn’t be more pleased for the baby’s parents. We imagine the kind of joy they must feel hearing that their child matched with a donor, and hope soon that we can experience the same joy.

Please keep your ears open for any possible donors and keep them in your prayers.
