The crew of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln Strike Group is back home. Pilots returned home yesterday and sailors and ships in the group arrived in San Diego this morning:

Local sailors and ships returned to San Diego Tuesday after helping the victims of the tsunamis in South Asia.

The San Diego-based guided missile cruiser Shiloh and guided missile destroyer Benfold, both part of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, arrived in San Diego Bay at about 6 a.m. They are docking at 32nd Street Naval Station San Diego.

The group’s flagship, the USS Abraham Lincoln, will also make a port call before continuing to its homeport in Everett, Wash.

Aircraft from the Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light 47 and Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 2 landed at Naval Air Station North Island just before 7 a.m.

Welcome back and thanks for a job well done!
