MICHIGAN CBS AFFILIATE YANKS DAN RATHER POLL

9&10 News, the CBS affiliate for northern Michigan, ran an online poll yesterday to let viewers decide whether Dan Rather’s farewell program should be aired tonight. Today the station’s General Manager, William Kring, abruptly ended the poll, apologizing in an online letter for the embarrassment he caused CBS and promising to run the program.
