Brian Nichols, the Atlanta man who grabbed a deputy’s gun, shot multiple people, carjacked a few vehicles and was on the lamb for over a day, is no longer the most interesting part of this weekend’s story for me.

He certainly gave Ashley the necessary peace to enable her to survive the encounter. I don’t know or care what Nichols does in prison, but I do wonder what important job He has in store for Ashley.
