CAIR VS. NATIONAL REVIEW, ROUND TWO
Last week CAIR successfully pressured National Review into pulling two books critical of Islam from its bookselling division, NR Book Service. NR’s capitulation, while understandable from a business perspective, was disappointing to those of us who expect NR to stand firm against political correctness and bullying by liberal activist groups. (Rich Lowry’s weakhearted defense of NR’s decision to ditch the books is here.)
Now, as Robert Spencer reports, NR Book Service has resumed selling one of the two books. (The other book is still gone.)
As Spencer says, “It is heartening to see a little bit of resistance to CAIR’s trademark intimidation and bullying.”
