THE ACLU GETS TOUGH ON BORDER-CROSSING

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 21, 2005 02:35 PM

Finally, the open-borders ACLU has found a border-crosser it wants to crack down on: FOX News’s Sean Hannity, who broadcast live from the southern border on Monday and Tuesday night with excellent coverage of the Minuteman Project.

Hannity stepped across a fence for a few seconds, and now the ACLU and a Democrat state legislator want him prosecuted. If Hannity were a citizen of any other country besides America, the ACLU would be rushing to represent him pro bono as a persecuted “undocumented migrant.”

Update: A reader notes…

If they persecute, or prosecute, Hannity for crossing the border illegally, then they’ll have to do the same to [Bob] Simon at CBS. He did exactly the same thing on 60 minutes Wednesday on last night’s illegal “immigration” spot.
