THERE THEY GO AGAIN

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 24, 2005 08:01 AM

Via Drudge, I see that the folks at BBC planted hecklers at a Conservative Party rally two weeks before Election Day in Britain.

Incredibly, the BBC defended itself, claiming the manufactured protesters were part of a “completely legitimate programme about the history and art of political heckling.”

This is even worse than this disgraceful incident, which occurred in the U.S. late last year.

And let’s not forget that a little more than a year ago, BBC chairman Gavyn Davies resigned in the wake of BBC’s unfounded report that Tony Blair’s government had “sexed up” claims about Iraq’s weapons capabilities.

These people never learn.

“I have been dressed in what is an explosive belt, which the kidnappers say will be detonated if there is an attempt to storm the area,” Mr Johnston said. “They say they are ready to turn the hideout into what they describe as a death zone if there is an attempt to free me by force … It seems the answer is to return to negotiations, which I am told are very close to achieving a deal.”
