JIHADIS ON THE ‘NET?
Chad Evans at In The Bullpen notes something interesting:
I’ve learned of an Al Qaida forum disguised as a gaming forum for XBox. The titles of the various categories are not gaming related nor is the actual content of the forum posts.
Videos, audio files, pictures and various other forms of propoganda seem to be the only thing the forum contains. It does not appear to have any training manuals and there are 42 registered members of the forum. There may be a special member section that non-members cannot see and appear at invitation only as this specific type of forum does allow for hidden topics and posts. The posters seem to have a fetish with pictures of dead terrorists whom they claim are martyrs.
Check it out. More background on terrorists and the Internet here and here. See also here.
