THE 7/7 ATTACKS: ABOUT THE MAYOR OF LONDON
London mayor Ken Livingstone earned praise yesterday for his stalwart statement condemning the 7/7 attacks. “Whatever you do, however many you kill, you will fail,” he said, addressing the terrorists directly.
There are some things you should know, though, about Mayor Livingstone before you applaud his steadfastness against evil. Despite his strong words lambasting terrorism, Livingstone, a radical Labour Party politician, has been a staunch defender of one of the Islamists’ top, suicide bomb-advocating clerics. Last July, Livingstone welcomed Sheikh Yusuf al Qaradawi to London for a radical Muslim conference and condemned those who protested as bigots. Read his apologia for al Qaradawi here, if you can stomach it. More here and here on how Red Ken has defended the fanatical Islamist leader as a “moderate.”
Judge Mayor Livingstone by his terrorist-enabling actions, not his hollow words.
