REALITY CHECK, PART II
TVNewser says 10.3 million people visited MSNBC.com on the day of the 7/7 London terrorist attacks, according to Nielsen//NetRatings. By comparison, the most highly trafficked political blog, Daily Kos, had 212,000 unique visitors during the month of April 2005, according to ComScore Media Metrix.
That means MSNBC.com had almost 50 times more readers in a single day than Kos had in an entire month. Blogs have come a long, long way, but despite all the hype, they still reach a tiny audience compared to MSM outlets.
