Check this out: St. Paul Pioneer Press editorial page associate editor Mark Yost, who served in the Navy, writes an interesting and provocative column criticizing media coverage of the military. Now, his colleagues in the MSM have joined in on a frantic, journalistic shark attack against him.

The Media Blog, BuzzMachine, and Cam Edwards are all over the story.

Steve Lovelady of the Columbia Journalism Review is particularly unhinged, attacking Yost as a “right-wing shill” and calling Jarvis “an intellectually dishonest schmuck.” Read all of his e-mails to Jarvis. You can practically feel the froth forming at Lovelady’s mouth and the spittle hitting the computer screen. Yikes.

Yost will be on Cam’s radio show, Cam and Company, tomorrow at 5:20pm EST to discuss the controversy. Should be interesting.
