One of America’s foremost military analysts returns from the battlefield and asks:
The U.S. military is fighting, the nascent Iraqi military is fighting, the Iraqi people are fighting, but where is the American political class?

APOLOGIST FOR TERROR: WE’RE “SASSY!”
Don’t eat or drink anything while you read this piece of tripe from Dilpazier Aslam, a Muslim Guardian “trainee journalist” attempting to explain away the 7/7 terrorist bombing attacks:
“The Muslim community is no monolithic whole. Yet there are some common features. Second- and third-generation Muslims are without the don’t-rock-the boat attitude that restricted our forefathers. [...]
PAUL BEGALA UNHINGED
Clintonite Paul Begala speaking to college students about Republicans:
“They want to kill me and my children if they can. But if they just kill me and not my children, they want my children to be comforted — that while they didn’t protect me because they cut my taxes, my children won’t have to pay any [...]

TSA: TRAINING SUICIDAL ARABS
You’ve seen some of the news coverage by now of Bassam Khalaf, the self-proclaimed “crazy, suicidal Arabic” rapper fired from his job as a TSA baggage screener.
But did you know that he’s not the only Islamist who has been poking through your luggage?
Debbie Schlussel has the lowdown on both.
Repeat: Political correctness is the handmaiden of [...]
SUPPORT MICHAEL YON
Blogger/embedded journalist Michael Yon provides some of the best coverage of the war in Iraq. Some of his readers sent the following alert:
We know you like Michael Yon’s Dispatches from Iraq and his photos, especially of the children. Are you aware that his camera is, and has been, in a bad state of repair? He [...]
Know your enemy: Infiltration
If there is only one book you read the rest of the summer, make it investigative journalist Paul Sperry’s Infiltration.
Paul has been working the Pakistani-al Qaeda angle that is now the subject of renewed interest in the wake of the 7/7 terrorist attacks.
Read this May 2005 report from Sperry–It’s Pakistan, stupid!–for a quick crash [...]
GITMO TRIBUNALS UPHELD
It won’t be the lead story on the nightly news tonight, but a key War on Terror court ruling today upholding the legality of military tribunals at Guantanamo Bay is a significant victory for the Bush administration–and a big defeat for the Gitmo bashers, most of whom deny that these hearings have even taken place [...]

NY TIMES SAYS FEMALE GITMO INTERROGATORS ARE “SEX WORKERS”
The New York Times shows its support for the troops by calling our female interrogators prostitutes. It admits it sees little difference between sexually suggestive interrogation methods designed to extract information from uncooperative Gitmo detainees and “what Mayor Rudolph Giuliani tried to ban from Times Square.”
Here’s how we will end up interrogating terrorists if the [...]

BREEDING BRITISH JIHADISTS
The Globe and Mail highlights the role of a government-funded youth center in radicalizing the London terror bombers:
LEEDS — The transformation of four young British men into terrorists appears to have taken place at a government-funded storefront youth centre in Leeds that, according to youth workers, was a hub of radical Islamist activity.
The centre was [...]

IN DEFENSE OF BOSTON
There are plenty of reasons to bash Boston. But for Sen. Rick Santorum to single the city out as more of a fertile breeding ground for sexual abuse than the rest of the country is just wrong. And dumb. Here’s the three-year-old column that Ted Kennedy and friends are up in arms about–and I [...]
BOYCOTT SAN FRANCISCO
Bruce at GayPatriot and Gryphmon give you a very good reason to stay away.
Dianne Feinstein, believe it or not, agrees: “This isn’t the San Francisco that I’ve known and loved and grew up in and was born in.”

FALLOUT FROM THE SUPREME COURT’S BRAND X DECISION
Is this what AP reporter Hope Yen meant when she wrote last month that the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the property rights of cable companies would “limit competition and consumers’ choices” for broadband services?

Last month, talk show host extraordinaire Neal Boortz wrote about a Greensboro, Ga., middle school that refused to allow a Marine to come visit a class of sixth-graders that had written him letters while he served in Iraq. After getting pressure from Boortz’s listeners and others, the local superintendent apologized.
Boortz updated the story yesterday:

MORE GITMO-BASHING AT THE WASHINGTON POST
The Washington Post does its best to put a negative spin on the military’s latest report about interrogation methods used at Guantanamo Bay (”Abu Ghraib Tactics Were First Used at Guantanamo,” page A01).
The New York Times (”Report Discredits F.B.I. Claims of Abuse at Guantánamo Bay“), USA Today (”Inquiry finds abuse, not torture at Guantanamo“), [...]
