WASHINGTON – The House on Friday overwhelmingly rejected calls for an immediate troop withdrawal from Iraq, a vote engineered by the Republicans that was intended to fail.

This vote is being billed as a major showdown on the War on Terror in Iraq. The suggested Democratic prescription is ‘Cut and Run’, or is it ‘Vote and Run’.
