I was looking at the Michelle Malkin’s post on the Joel Hinrich suicide again and finally put my finger on something that has been bothering me.

There simply is no confusing a photo of a “headless torso” with a witness’s description of seeing “the bottom half of the man” an instant after the detonation.

In any event, we’re no closer to figuring out what motivated Joel Hinrichs to blow himself up than before the records were unsealed. And, we haven’t learned anything new since I wrote about the records being unsealed earlier this month.

Regardless of whether he had ties to organized terrorism or not, that question remains. The records confirm he was experimenting with some pretty unique explosives… and he certainly used a very unique method of killing himself…

The search warrant in the OU Suicide Bomber case was unsealed on November 18 and Michelle Malkin has now received the documents from the Clerk’s office. She says they don’t provide any closure on the case.

Michelle Malkin has been sifting through the unsealed documents from the Joel Hinrichs case, and she didn’t find much therein: None of the hundreds of e-mails in Hinrichs’ Yahoo.com account…

Michelle Malkin is posting 94 of the court documents she recentlly obtained here (large pdf). These are the first of 350 that she will post. I haven’t looked at them because she says they are unremarkable and incomplete.

On the 23rd Vaughn Ververs of CBS Public Eye challenged bloggers to correct the record regarding this case. I am taking the opportunity to do so.
