MOONBAT OF THE DAY
It’s Sheryl Crow (via NY Daily News’ Rush and Molloy):
Even when she’s perfecting her tan, Sheryl Crow can’t get George Bush off her mind.
Last weekend, the folks at Ritz-Carlton hired the Grammy winner to perform at the opening of their 60th hotel, on Grand Cayman. You may recall that Sen. John Kerry blamed the island — where Enron hid its massive debts — for America’s tax-evasion problem. Though she campaigned for Kerry, Crow wasn’t about to knock her host country, especially since the Ritz-Carlton had treated her to a week of scuba-diving and pina coladas.
But she couldn’t entirely miss a chance to tee off on Bush.
Like his father, the President has sought to turn America into “an imperial power and create strongholds over oil-heavy countries in order for us to control and manipulate them,” she told us. “Now, if we pull out [of Iraq] we are going to leave a complete and total mess. We don’t even know who we’re fighting over there.”
Here’s a hint, sister.
