What I’m reading for MLK Day: John McWhorter’s Winning the Race : Beyond the Crisis in Black America.
Because the race hustlers have failed. Becase the culture of victimhood has failed. Because, as McWhorter puts it, “anyone purporting to have a valuable message to black America [indeed, all America] whose message’ is basically that nothing will change without a revolution that could never occur has nothing to offer us but the passing and idle pleasures of payback fantasies and stirring rhetorical formulas.”
