AN AMERICAN HOSTAGE IN IRAQ

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 17, 2006 10:11 PM

Everything you need to know about hostage Jill Carroll is over at The Jawa Report. It doesn’t look good:

Al Jazeera, never missing a beat, chooses to play up the angle that Carroll was against the war. Presumably the video mentions which group took Jill Carroll hostage, but al Jazeera does not give the public that information. The fact that the terror organization is demanding the release of all women prisoners is not a good sign. This is a common demand from Salafist organizations such as Abu Musab al Zarqawi’s al Qaeda and The Islamic Army in Iraq. Both groups routinely murder those they hold hostage.

More background at Mad Canuck, who points to charity efforts for the family of Carroll’s translator, Allan Enwiyah, an Iraqi Christian who was murdered by the terrorists last Saturday.

Send prayers and help, if you can.
