CNN'S NEW STUPID EXCUSE
Last week, I noted CNN’s weasel disclaimer explaining to readers why it won’t fully inform them about the Mohammed cartoons:
CNN has chosen to not show the cartoons in respect for Islam.
Reader Dave R. notices today that CNN has a new, disingenuous excuse:
CNN is not showing the negative caricatures of the likeness of Prophet Mohammed because the network believes its role is to cover the events surrounding the publication of the cartoons while not unnecessarily adding fuel to the controversy itself.
Well, okay then, CNN. You won’t publish “negative caricatures.” But as I noted last night on Fox News, three of the Danish cartoons were positive, neutral, completely innocuous caricatures. See (click for larger image):
Moreover, half of the Danish cartoons don’t even include any likeness of Mohammed at all.
So, please tell us the reason you won’t publish any of those.
Contact CNN here.

Meanwhile, the Cartoon Jihad death toll rises:
Muslim protests against cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammad claimed three more lives on Wednesday when Afghan police fired at a crowd trying to storm a U.S. military base.
The latest deaths in the town of Qalat, in southern Zabul province, brought the total number of Afghans killed in protests this week to 10. Twenty more were injured in Wednesday’s clash.
