BUSH REVEALS FOILED TERROR PLOT

President Bush is giving a live speech right now before the National Guard Association on the global war on terror. He is revealing details about a terror plot to fly a plane into the Library Tower (now the US Bank tower) in Los Angeles, which was planned in the weeks after Sept. 11. He says Khalid Sheik Mohammed, mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, set the plan in motion in October 2001, and that al Qaeda planned to use operatives from southeast Asia who would be armed as shoe bombers to break through fortified cockpit doors. We worked with several countries to foil the plot.

Bush: “We will never rest until this threat to America is removed.”
