WHITTINGTON: “MINOR HEART ATTACK”

Via Drudge/WCBS:
The man shot by Vice President Dick Cheney has shown signs of having suffered a heart attack due to his wounded, medical doctors said Tuesday.
The doctors at the hospital in Corpus Christi say they’ve been consulting with White House doctors about Harry Whittington’s treatment.
Via AP:
The man shot by Vice President Dick Cheney suffered a minor heart attack after birdshot moved into his heart, hospital officials said Tuesday, and was moved back to the intensive care unit for further treatment.
Texas attorney Harry Whittington was recovering and will be monitored for seven days to make sure more bird shot doesn’t move to other organs or move to other part of his body, hospital officials said.
“However some of the bird shot appears to have moved and lodged into part of his heart in what we would say is a minor heart attack,” said Peter Banko, administrator at Christus Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-Memorial.
How about a moratorium on the jokes from all sides, please?
Reader O.R. in Austin:
I agree with your call for a moratorium on the jokes. Harry is one of the finest men I have ever known. You or almost anyone would be proud to know him. A World of Harry Whittingtons would be a fine place indeed. He and his wife, Mercedes, as well as the remainder of his family, deserve our thoughts and prayers, as does the Vice-President.
