A soldier and his family in need

Dave Logan writes that a milblogger who served in Afghanistan, SPC Reid Stanley, needs help:

For those of you who haven’t seen or heard about SC EAGLE: SC’s a milblogger stationed overseas with his family. Originally, Afghanistan, now Germany. He has a wife, Ellicia, and 3 little ones. Recently, Ellicia was diagnosed with cancer. She has tumors in her brain, breasts, and lungs. The family is in the process of relocating to the states (Charleston area). Ellicia will be entering hospice soon afterwards. Financially, this is devastating, and that’s where all of you come in.

LTC Buzz Patterson is on-board with us and has donated a 3-book set to be auctioned at EBAY. Buzz will be signing the books and adding a personal message to the winner of the auction. All the proceeds will go directly to Reid and Ellicia Stanley. This auction will last 10 days.

Hugh Hewitt is on-board as well. On yesterday’s show, Hugh spoke about the Stanley’s situation and posted about it on his Townhall blog. And, I might add, Hugh found out about Reid and Ellicia because of an ANGEL in Ohio by the name of Mary Ann. (I’ll write about the whole thing later)

Our Angel, Mary Ann, knew of Reid through Soldiers’ Angels while he was in Afghanistan, and later found out about Andrea Shea-King and Mark Vance’s auction. She wanted to do something to help, and help she did. Mary Ann’s an inspiration to us all. Much thanks goes out to her.

Ok, If you prefer to just donate directly to Reid and Ellicia, click here. But I urge you to both contribute and make a bid on the book set.

For a listing of everyone participating in this project, head over to Radio Patriots. I hope you will join us in getting the word out. Do a post, please.

I just donated $100 here. Can I get 100 people to match tonight? Show your support.
