Specter in Syria
Following in John Kerry’s footsteps, Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) flew to Damascus to play footsie with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad yesterday.
The Bush White House, which supported Specter over conservative challenger Pat Toomey, had no comment.
