LA Times News Vacuum on the Rice-Boxer Rumble
I figure if you’re here, you’re reading Mark Steyn anyway, but just in case, here’s his latest take on the media coverage of the incoronation of Spokesgranny of the House Pelosi, and also the coverage of the Boxer-Rice dustup.
Note that Steyn thought the Boxer match was worthy of comment for his national column in a Chicago paper, and the New York Times ran a story on it as well. Whether you think Boxer was out of line or right on, it was certainly out of the ordinary.
Well…for the LA Times, not so much. As Okie on the Lam noticed yesterday, despite all the hubbub the LA Times has written nary a word about the contretemps–nor about the White House’s stinging response to California’s junior Senator. I checked again and the LA Times’ search function reveals no new coverage as of 3PM PST today.
Odd.
My question about Boxer’s tantrum is this: if not having kids of fighting age disqualifies you from making a decision about the war, and since Sen. Boxer admits her “grandchildren are too young” and her “kids are too old”, then by her own logic shouldn’t Sen. Boxer recuse herself from any votes related to military issues as well?
“Who pays the price” for Senator Boxer’s decisions?
