Lest we forget, 15 Saudi Arabians on the orders of Bin Laden, a Saudi Arabian, living in Afghanistan, a country under the protection of Pakistan, whose leader came to power in a coup over a democratically elected government, are the ones who perpetrated September 11, 2001.

OK, I am ready to talk about countries in the region and what they are doing, or not doing.

I would be surprised if Iran were not somehow involved in subverting our activities in Iraq. What I am surprised about, until very recently (Jul 17, 2007 to be exact) no mention has been made of the nationalities of those coming into Iraq, also to subvert our efforts in Iraq.

Yes, mention Iran, but in the same breath mention Saudi Arabia (where the Bush family interests are more greatly intertwined than Clinton's, or Kerry's) where many of the Al Qaeda terrorists are coming from. To be fair and consistent Tony Snow also mentioned that the Al Qaeda types were coming from Yemen, Syria, and Lebanon, too.

Recall, that Saudi Arabia is the home to the Wahabi Sect of Islam of which Bin Laden was a member.

And, as a final note where was Khalid Sheik Muhamad (KSM) eventually caught? One guess, it is the same place where Al Qaeda is gaining strength. Waziristan, a province in Pakistan.

Cherry picking is not as efficient as shaking the entire tree. If you mention Iran, be consistent, mention them all, especially the big one, Saudi Arabia.

I’ve reported that Iran has been sending IED parts into Iraq for months. So it comes as no surprise to me that this is finally being confirmed by Centcom.
