The “Peace” Brigade vs. the Stryker Brigade

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 7, 2007 02:07 PM

My column this week looks at the moonbat dress rehearsal in Tacoma as the massive anti-war march on Washington looms.

The latest from the mob scene:

Police arrested three people for investigation of third-degree assault this morning as they protested the shipment of Iraq-bound Army equipment through the Port of Tacoma.

The three were each being held on $10,000 bail at the Pierce County Jail, where they were booked shortly after 3 a.m., according to jail records. The protest involved several dozen people, participants said, and concerned the shipment of Stryker vehicles and other equipment from Fort Lewis.

Meanwhile, a disrupter at the local city council meeting wouldn’t shut up:

Tacoma police on Tuesday night arrested an anti-war activist at a City Council meeting after he refused three requests to wrap up his remarks during the meeting’s public comments forum.

The man, from Olympia, was arrested on charges of trespassing and disrupting a City Council meeting after he ran over his allotted three minutes.

Police spokesman Mark Fulghum says it was the second time this week that the man has been arrested.

Early Monday, he was one of three people arrested in the Port of Tacoma in a protest against the Army’s movement of Stryker brigade vehicles.

They are making their way to Washington on March 17.

The Gathering of Eagles
will be there to meet them. How about you?
