Tank by the Road

Here’s a little Friday evening Mike Yon for ya’ll.

For Michelle's readers only.JPG

Wish there was some compelling story behind the shot, but what I got from Mike was basically: Not sure where we were going. I spend so much time on the roads that I don’t even remember.

Good enough for me! Besides, tanks hanging out next to off-ramps is compelling enough in my book. That and the fact that there appears to be a trash can in the middle of the road. Which is a nice change up from the norm, which is usually just trash.

Update: Ouch

Michael Yon is, hands-down, the best war correspondent we have. If you want to understand what’s happening in Iraq, you must read Michael’s work. That he has not been awarded a Pulitzer Prize is a disgrace. Or, perhaps, a huge compliment.
