Webb aide follow-up
Local D.C. station WJLA reports Sen. James Webb’s aide, Phillip Thompson, is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon: “An aide to Senator Jim Webb is expected to appear before a D.C. Superior Court magistrate judge Tuesday. Phillip Thompson faces weapons violations following his arrest at the Russell Senate Office Building late Monday morning. Thompson was arrested after an officer stationed at an X-ray machine allegedly saw a gun in a bag he was trying to take into the building.”
He was held in custody overnight.
Blake Dvorak at RCP muses about Webb’s “unorthodox ways.”
