Methinks he has been inhaling too many carbon emissions from his private jet:
“Art, music, film, dance, poetry — all the arts — have long been our greatest tools to explore the regions of imagination that defy our efforts to think rationally about subjects that our emotions tell us are too painful to contemplate.”
– Al Gore at the opening of the Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday night

My take on what he means:
“When the golden morn banishes the utter darkness of the night’s sleepless agony, I spring from the left of my bed in sweated panties of pink and sing joyous hosannas to fractured reason and false logic for it is by merry song and happy dance that my thoughts are occupied. As each day brightens and fades towards dusk, I continue my assault on reason without missing a sweet note or light step for, should I grow silent and still, reality would clench its fangs upon my arse and it would prove unbearably painful to contemplate that which I have wrought from the deepest realms of my convoluted imagination will forevermore provide a most inconvenient and everlasting truth as to my utter pomposity, idiocy, and lunacy.
So I shall continue my song and dance ’till the silent void shall spare me from the knowledge that my legacy shall be but a mere contemptuous phrase heaped upon lazy and self-serving authors who, having foisted upon the public treatises of proven bile, shall be known as “Gore Mongers” who have “Gored” the masses.”
