Appeal for Courage comes to D.C.
Heads-up: The Appeal For Courage, a petition signed by some 2,800 troops (60 percent of whom are or have served in Iraq), will be presented to Congress later today.
SSG Dave Thul, currently serving in Al Asad, Iraq, has more here. The petition
urges Congress to support the mission in Iraq and end calls for retreat. It’ll be presented by the executive director of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Bob Wallace, on behalf of the petition’s organizers.
Let’s hope Washington listens.

By the way: Will CBS’s 60 Minutes be featuring Appeal For Courage the way they trumpeted the anti-war “Appeal For Redress”–which, as many troops have noted, garnered far fewer signatures over a longer period of time than AFC?
