Sen. McCaskill has my full support and admiration. To be a Democrat and come out against the Amnesty charade is a boost to my morale. I and many others at Numbers USA have been keeping the “heat” on the Senate for two months now. I have donated $25.00 each month to cover their costs and it is the best $50.00 I have ever spent. I will pesonnally e-mail Sen. McCaskill my thanks and a donation to her on Monday.

Remember, Ms. Claire is from the same place they elect dead men after keeping the polls open long after they were supposed to close in the more liberal districts of St. Louis.

She’s playing politics now. Missouri was better off with Jim Talent!

All that being said, those against this immigration bill will take her vote against cloture – even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then.

Why I predict that this bill will not go through, is due to each partys’ ideology preventing them from agreeing to a compromise that would cause them to compromise their own ideologies. There is conviction on each side. Political expediency versus doing what is right for America will probably accomplish the same thing. The bill will fail at the cloture vote.

Being from Missouri, and in fact living in the county where she was Prosecuter, I know a few things about Ms McCaskill from her auditor days. I must admit, though, I am beginning to feel pleasently surprised with her, although I liked Talent a whole lot better. This is the second or third time she as “bucked the party” and did the right thing.

I recall the phrase, “a few good men”, well we have two great women so far… Hutchinson and McCaskill are worthy of a lot of praise for standing up to the shamnesty. Maybe others will see their logic and climb aboard….please God, let it be so.

Every quarter employers are notified when the SSN of their employee doesn’t match the name submitted. What is so hard in fining employers who fail to follow up on the issue and continue, quarter after quarter, to submit these bogus numbers?

Without the jobs, the illegal immigrants would return home. They aren’t here because they love America, its culture or its people. They are here because we have a working economy, which we won’t have much longer if we continue to allow millions to live here without obeying the law.

I sent the following message to Sen McConnell on June 16.
Sen McConnell,
I am from a neighbor state, Tennessee, to your home state. I have admired you
for your leadership for years. Now that admiration has gone. My wife and I have
voted in every general election and almost all primaries since John Kennedy. We
have voted Republican in all but one. That has also come to an end. We have
contributed resources when we had plenty and when they were scarce. This has
also come to an end. I have supported President Bush throughout his Presidency.
This has also come to an end.
The problem I have with the Republican party is the position taken by you,
President Bush, Sen Kyle, Sen McCain, Sen Marteniz and any others that vote for
the senate “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” bill (AKA Amnesty for Illegal
Aliens). I am not sending this as a result of anyone else influencing me, such
as talk radio or bloggers. I have studied this proposed bill and proposed
amendments and reached the conclusion on my own. Please do not offend me as
Sen Lott did by blaming talk radio for my decision. Please do not tell me as
the President did on May 29 that I do not understand and insinuated I am dumb
if I do not agree with him. As of June 4 I notified the National Republican
Congressional Committee we will not be contributing money now or in the
future.
Please show the leadership qualities I have admired for so long and vote
against this bill in any form. Close the borders, enforce the present laws then
listen to the people (Americans, not illegals) about this.
Thank you for your consideration.

Mexico poses a great Threat to the United States not only because of all the Amnesty issues reiterated above. However since the GOP has ignored our protestations because of the Straw Man that a Wall is tantamount to Racism vs new GOP votes(Ha! fat chance) vs Jobs Americans will not do, etc…why not change the Argument. 16,000 desertions from the Mexican Military occur yearly and many have gone rogue being absorbed by the Drug Cartel. The Zetas are made up Ex-Mexican Army Special Ops who behead and kill thousands of Mexicans and have issued a $50,000 bounty for dead American National & Border Guards who are making the drug smuggling business hard for them. Because over 3, 000 murders have occurred on the border and elsewhere Presidente Calderon has mobilized 30,000 soldiers(out of 190,000 standing army) to fight the this undeclared Civil War. US Military and Civilian Authorities have issued travel warnings for travel to Mexico. problem in this:
FORT HUACHUCA — The commander of the Intelligence Center and Fort Huachuca is restricting soldiers’ assigned to the fort from traveling into Mexico and requiring them to exercise care when traveling in United States border communities. Additionally, Maj. Gen. Barbara Fast is advising Army civilian personnel and family members of military and civilians to be careful. Specifically, in a message, she stated: “In view of the recent increase in drug-related violence just across the Mexican border near the towns of Cananea and Naco, until further notice, I am directing that all military personnel and strongly advising all Department of the Army civilian personnel and their families to restrict their travel by avoiding the border towns of Mexico. If you or your families are traveling near the border on the U.S. side, please use caution.”
All this information needs to be deliver to our Senators, in particular Senator Kyl who represents the State where the Epicenter of this Threat to our Country is located. Tell these Knuckleheads in Washington to Protect our Children from the ravages of Drug Addiction, our National & Border Guards & Soldiers from the Drug Cartel as well as Mexican Nationals being raped and murdered by them and mostly protect Americans from the cross fire of these Warring Paramilitary and Military Mexicans. Hugh Hewitt likes my idea and has linked to my post so that people will learn of these issues and contact their Representatives in an effort to shift the justification for a Wall since our basic reservations are being ignored. My post has all the details and links to the News accounts of this little known but enormous Problem on the Border. A Wall means safety for US Citizens from these ills and Mexicans from not only these same ills but merciless “Coyotes”
