Last week NPR did a piece on the Anti-Communist Vietnamese Americans and basically labeled them as old and out of touch. NPR remarked how the Anti-Communist Community in California lead protest marches in the street outside a store displaying Ho Chi Minh’s Picture. NPR newsreaders laughed about that. “It’s just a picture of Ho Chi Minh.”

So true. If only the politicians had let the generals fight the war, we would have been able to kill all of the Vietnamese, either through superior ground forces or possibly atomic weapons.

Seems some lessons are never learned and again we are being forced to fight with one hand tied behind our backs in the middle east. Keep up the good work Michelle!

I drive through Little Saigon every day on my way to work. It’s quite a contrast with cities like Santa Ana (also in Orange County, CA), which has turned into Little Tijuana (unofficially). In Little Saigon you see lots of flags and patriotism, and rarely see a Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) flag without the Stars and Stripes flying beside, properly displayed. There is a tremendous amount of patriotism displayed in that community, with lots of appreciation for America, their new home. Little Tijuana however is much different. You never see American flags, but see lots of Mexican flags, and other signs telling you that you’re not in Kansas anymore. If the illegals from south of the border would treat America with the same respect shown by the immigrants from Vietnam, there would surely be a different tone to the debate!

The dominos did indeed fall after Democrats forced us to leave Vietnam …

President John F. Kennedy increased America’s troop numbers from 500 to 16,000. Large numbers of combat troops were dispatched by President Lyndon Johnson beginning in 1965.

How short a time it took for the Democrats to change. They have consistently taken the low road ever since.

Liberals seek to rewrite history and make us the bad guys during the Vietnam War. They even call it the “American War.” The cause, though, was noble and correct, as these anti-communist demonstrations that are frequent in D.C. but never get any press attest to. For example, there was a large anti-communist and pro-America demonstration across from the White House by the Vietnamese community in October last year that got no press.

The dominos did indeed fall after Democrats forced us to leave Vietnam. The South Vietnamese suffered immensely. Cambodia fell to the Khmer Rouge and 2,000,000 plus (anyone with the least bit of education) were slaughtered.

American liberals of that era have blood on their hands for not supporting the war effort.

God Bless ‘em. I fought along side them 40 years ago to help them keep their country free, but the stinking commies had already infiltrated the media in the U.S. and our government, who stabbed us in the back and let the scumbags win

It just torques my jaws when I see fellow U.S. Viet Vets going to Vietnam as “tourists”, and helping the commie slime get foreign currency to help their regime. I will never, ever visit that place as long as it’s communist.

I know many ARVN Vietnam Veterans. They are truly the best immigrant Americans. Protest heartily my Brothers!!! I’ll be there with you in spirit, if not body.

Many conservatives rightly think that Communism and Socialism and their ilk are the enemy to our freedom, but at the risk of sounding hysterical, I’d say it’s the endless left-leaning slant of the mainstream media who are the true enemies of this country, for without the power of their influence, this country would be on a much different – and better – road to the future.

Glad to see this also. Someone commented recently to me that communism did not exist anymore and I should forget about it! Try to tell that to the 2 million Cambodians and the 100 million others killed at the altar of Noam Chomsky’s “imaginations.”
