Update: Comment registration will close at 5pm today
Bumping to the top…comment registration is still open for a limited time.
Okay, readers, comment registration is now officially open.
I am reprinting my terms of use for commenters here so we are all clear on the rules of the road:
Michellemalkin.com allows you to post comments on the site, provided that you first register to do so with a valid e-mail address.
I may allow as much or as little opportunity for registration as I choose, in my absolute discretion, and I may close particular comment threads or discontinue my general policy of allowing comments at any time. By registering to post comments, you warrant that you are at least 18 years old and that you are solely responsible for your account’s activity.
I reserve the right to delete your comments or revoke your registration for any reason whatsoever. Rarely will I do so simply because I disagree with you. I will, however, usually do so if you post something that is, in my opinion, (a) off-topic; (b) libelous, defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, profane, pornographic, offensive, false, misleading, or which otherwise violates or encourages others to violate these terms of use or any law, including intellectual property laws; or (c) “spam,” i.e., an attempt to advertise, solicit, or otherwise promote goods and services. I may exercise these rights myself and I may delegate them to employees and/or contractors.
I do not own your comments and I expressly disclaim any and all liability that may result from them. By commenting on my site, you agree that you retain all ownership rights in what you post here and that you will relieve me from any and all liability that may result from those postings. You further agree to grant me a worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licenseable and transferable license to store, use, transmit, display, publish, reproduce, or otherwise distribute your comments without limitation, as well as to make such additional uses of them as may be needed by me.
In short, you’re my guest here. I welcome your participation, but if you abuse my hospitality, don’t be surprised if you are shown the door.
Questions about comment registration and comments policy can be sent to Rick Moran at mmdotcomcomments@gmail.com.

P.S. Lots of folks want to know what happened to the blogroll. Don’t worry. It’ll be back. It was causing some loading problems. Thanks to everyone who has sent feedback–positive and negative–about the redesign. We’re still tweaking and polishing. Appreciate your patience and continued readership!

Thank you. I see somebody beat me to the punch, but it still is a good thing.
I especially like the preview button (something desperately needed at Hot Air).
Wonderful, now if registration could be reopened at HA, that would be even better!
steveegg,
The comment preview will be coming to Hot Air! My Hot Air to-do list was just put on hold while this site was being developed and rolled out.
I love the new format and especially having a voice. Yey!
Awesome! Great job, Michelle and Mark!!!
That will definitely work, Mark.
Yay comments!
Sweet layout by the way.
Thanks Michelle! Great new site!!
I love the new layout….but I wish I could still view the blog posts as a continuous set of posts as opposed to clicking each individual post.
And thanks for the ability to post comments…I have been waiting for this opportunity for some time now.
Very Nice.
I just want to thank you for providing me with the truth on so many topics.
I wish you much success in both your professional and personal life.
Glad to see this, interaction with folks goes a long ways towards warming up fence sitters to your way of thinking… And WordPress is an awesome platform as well, congratulations on this move…
All props for the look of the site go to Peter Flaschner and his team over at The Blog Studio.
I think it rocks.
Michelle, Congrats on an even more outstanding site!
hi michelle- longtime loyal reader here… dont like the new layout at all, too much going on, makes me feel like im missing things. the old layout insured that i read everything youve written!
-COB
Yay! Thanks for opening the comments! I look forward to the dialogue and your continued excellent posting.
Michelle,
I appreciate the ability to register here. You’ve become the first source of info for me every day. Keep up the good work.
I’d establish a few moderators to keep the flack from the left down…
Nothing is more annoying than mindless leftist howling… 8^)
Thank you for all of your hard work to get the truth to us, Michelle.
I am so glad that you have provided us with this forum!
thanks…this page is generally my third hit every morning, and revisited throughout the day.
Glad I can now speak up here!
Thanks for opening comments. I read both of your sites MM.com and Hot Air everyday. The two best sites on the internet. Thanks for both of them.
From deep in the heart of Texas. BillK
Having looked over the article “Comment Commentary” from 2004, I do have one question. MM, I sincerely hope that this body of commenters can do far better than your 2004 experience. Yikes.
Anyway, the question. If we see something that we deem to be grossly out of line, should we contact you so that you can be the final judge and get rid of it that much more quickly? I figure that, if we can help you police things this way, you’ll have more time for being a blogmaster and less time having to be a recess monitor.
If you desire this assistance from us, which address should we use to call it to your attention?
Great new design! Thanks for letting us comment here. You’re the first blog I read everyday.
Michelle: I hope you have good moderators as I would expect a bunch of registrations from the DUmmies and KOSkids. Hopefully they won’t ruin it for us again. Remember… Trust but Verify.

Thanks for offering to help. If you see any abusive or inappropriate comments, let me know:
mmdotcomcomments@gmail.com.
A fantastic addition to the site – thank you.
I, along with many others I’m sure, hope that this opportunity lasts and doesn’t get abused. I completely understand if the need arises to close comments though.
If the comments sections of other political blogs are any indicator, I would expect this to become a fairly heated discussion forum at times.
Thanks Michelle!
Wooooooo Hooooooo!
Ths, Michelle, for the new site and a chance to offer our 2 cents!
Qwacker
Great new site! I really like it a lot! Lots more info easily accessed.
Good luck and keep it up!
Hello Michelle,
Hit your site many times daily for all your clear and concise content. Keep up the great work.
Regards,
Angryjohnny
Michelle,
I’m a long-time reader, a daily reader, in fact. I like this new look, and I especially appreciate the opportunity to interact with you and the other commenters.
Respects,
Thank you, Michelle.
Wonderful site, of course.
Yay, comments!
I love the new look on the site, but I love the fact that we can now post our comments about topics.
Hopefully this time works out better.
Yay, I made it!
Thank you for the registration opportunity. The site looks GREAT!
Great job, Michelle. I like having a comments forum even if I remain mostly just one of your readers. It’s nice to understand you and your thoughts during these years prior to your becoming an even more successful news commentator and anchorwoman.
The first thing I do every morning is read your blog.
I love the new site and the comments!
Thanks.
Thanks, Michelle, for allowing new comment registration… plus the site changes are just great.
Thank you Michelle. Love the new site.
Michelle, thanks for the great new website format. I read you every day for my source of what’s going on in the world. I have pretty much given up on the mainstream media. I greatly appreciate your war coverage. I pulled a tour in Iraq in 2005 and I still have good friends serving over there. I think of them every day.
Keep up the good work. Oh, I love seeing you on O’Reilly’s show.
Take care,
John Fleetwood
Cool- I’m in.
Glad to have ya!
Rick
Thanks Michelle!
Thanks so much for opening this up and a big thanks to Rick for correcting a stupid mistake I made when registering!
Thanks so much for the opportunity to register and hopefully have a voice here! It’s a ‘multiple hits per day’ spot for me….like the look of the new layout a lot!
Like the new design!
Great site and a Philly girl at that.I check this blog everyday and was happy to see that registration was open so I did.Keep up the great writing and also the FOX and O’Reilly Factor.
Mike
Oh and check out my blog. Not as fancy as this one.http://www.miktrani.com/blog/index.php
I like the new look, and the fact that I now have the ability to comment, but was kinda hoping that it would allow posting on HotAir as well. That aside, Keep up the GREAT work!
Thank you.
Awesome job, as always. Looking forward to you having your own show on Fox.
Great!!! Thank you.
So nice.
Woo Woo. Comments are open and Michelle Malkin in 2008!!!
Great site! Check it multiple times daily, and thanks for opening registration.
Keep up the fantastic work
Here’s my take:
On the old MichelleMalkin.com, readers could load and scroll down a single page and read all the postings. One step.
Now readers have to (i) start at the front page, read the story there,
(ii) click on a second story in the right column to go to it and read
it, (iii) hit the “back” button in the browser to get back to the
front page, (iv) select another story, (v) repeat (iii) and (iv) over and over to read more stories. It could be 15 or twenty additional clicks of the
mouse to read a full compliment of postings.
I’m sorry to say it, but that’s woefully bad web page design for a blog.
It’s made worse than it has to be. On the story pages, the right column is reserved for “related” postings, rather than new content. That means your readers have to navigate back to the front page (step (iii) above).
Here’s a quick fix. Readers absorbed by a topic will make it to the end of your posting. Why not put “related” postings at the bottom of the story pages, and keep the right column for the other new postings — even on the story pages?
Great site. Need the “firecracker” back under the heading. Peace and Blessings to you. Chris
Yay! Comments are open! Woo hoo!
I love your site Ms. Malkin and I read your words of wisdom every single day.
Thanks for everything you do!
Love the new format and major points in the respect column for allowing comments. It’s not a blog if people can’t comment…
Michelle, you are a great American! Thank you for what you do. May God bless you and your family.
Great new site, Michelle! And I’m so happy to be registered to comment. Now, if you could open up Hot Air for registrations, I’d be really geeked!
The first site that I read in the morning and last site read prior to bed.
Thank you Michelle.
agreed with Anil- the old site had links directly under each entry, that was good enough. the new page is too distracting on the right.
michelle- you write so well and inform us of the truth- dont distract from that with trackbacks and photos!
clear plain text, like the old site, on one straight page will do. also i find the new font to be a bit blurry.
Thanks for the opportunity for signing up. Keep up the good work and the good fight.
Am so happy to be able to comment. I’ve been a reader for years. I’ve been itching to register for a loooong time. Now if I could just register at HA. Sigh . . .
Also, love seeing you on O’R. Geraldo, eat your heart out.
Yes! I’m in.
Thanks Michelle!!!
Hey all.
Thank You, I don’t post all the time but it sure is nice to be able to when the topic has me ranting!
Keep up the good work. Reporting the news Liberal Americans won’t.
Hooray! More then a few times I wish I could comment on stories, and now I can! Let’s just hope the trolls don’t ruin it for us.
Being able to leave comments is going to be nice but I seem to have lost the ability to leave trackbacks when comments were enabled. I also can’t seem to leave comments with links in them. (I’ve lived with the same situation at Hot Air for quite a while now without saying anything about it.) Am I on someone’s “list”? If I am, was it deliberate or an accident?
Of course not, Bill. Are you using the link button above? If not, try that.
As for TB’s – sometimes I switch browsers and it works.
Thank you. I have been wanting to add my two cents’ worth every now and then over the years.
The new format works better for me as I have dial-up service, and a single page (which has its good points) takes a very long time to load.
I’m not one that takes to change readily, but I’m thrilled to be registered with MM!
MM has been a daily read for a couple of years . . .now we benefit from the bonus of comments – I’m looking forward to it all.
All the best – heroyalwhyness
Yes!!!
I made it,,
Hi everybody, and welcome
I like your new layout, specially the way related posts appear when I enter an entry. Good luck with the comment section, and lets hope it can remain open.
Can I change my login name?
LOSER1
actually , I VENT on HA, here I will be brilliant. hehe (my mom thinks so)
You know how long I have wanted to be able to comment here? Thanks Michelle, as always, your the best!
Michelle, Thank you for the opportunity to join this community! (and thanks for the log in help Rick).
Thanks Michelle
Michelle, you opened the floodgates for us HotAir numbskulls? You fool!
Heh.
WOOHOOOO!
Thanks Michelle and crew!! Good job and Godspeed!
Hey, look at me! I am commenting on Michelle’s site! If conservative talk radio runs America, Michelle Malkin runs the blogosphere!
Finally! I’m registered! And now I can comment and rant and talk about all the stories on here. And I’m going to start with… um….
er….
Well, when it comes to mind, I’m going to comment the heck out of it!
Hi Michelle,
I like your new look. I do like hotair, but I also like youtube. I saw your debate with Geraldo Rivera. It looks to me like it was stalemate with you leaning towards a win. I agree with you on border security, but I am not for creating a civilian police state and a governmental police state. Thank you Ms. Michelle
May the God of heaven in the name of Christ be with you….
Testing…
Success! I’m a commenter! Yay!
Love the new web site. Can’t wait until you have your own show on Fox or take over the view and slap joy around just for kicks!
Thanks for allowing me to participate here. I’ve been a fan of this blog for a long time, and look forward to the future entries and features.
The layout works for me, and I think your TOS is very reasonable. Informative and entertaining times ahead, to be sure.
The new site looks great and thanks for opening registration!
I’ve been reading you for years Michelle. Keep up the good work.
I just hope we don’t see any of the deranged spewing their poison in here.
Many thanks, Michelle! It’s an exciting honor to finally be a registered commenter of MichelleMalkin.com.
Opening registration is a good thing.
Been reading you for a long time, Michelle. You’re one of the few commentators out there that makes sense.
Many thanks, Michelle. It’s an exciting honor to finally be a registered commenter on your blog.
I have been chosen! Now that I’m in and registered as a commenter, close the door. I don’t want any riff-raff following me in.
Thanks for opening comments. Lovin’ the new look. – Bea
It’s an honor to finally be able to get registration in on one of your fine websites. Hotair is awesome and I always enjoy your columns.
You do an awesome job. Keep going Michelle, maybe you’ll replace that blowhard Bill-O one day. “The Malkin Factor” has a nice ring to it.
Thanks Michelle.
I, like many above, check your postings several time daily.
I also look forward to your rants on HA and your appearances of The O’Reilly Factor. Your facts and logic are devastating for your opponents.
What’s next; diggers that miss the opportunity to register complaining about restricted access? Guess thye’ll just have to cinch up their copper[tin]foil hats.
I’m in with the in crowd…woot!
Wow! I am so pleased to have the opportunity to comment here.
The downside: The tension between allowing free expression and maintaining a pleasant and thoughtful community is problematic, to say the least.
Yesterday, I swore off (as I have many times) even being a lurker at a famous conservative site that has very high activity but has historically had much turmoil, cliqishness, and several high-handed purges.
There was a very disturbing item about an Iranian woman who was to be stoned to death. The execution was set for today. People felt very disturbed by this, because the hideous act was so imminent and seemed certain to occur as the government had officially announced the execution.
A frequent and relentlessly tasteless poster who has been there cheapening threads since 1998 weighed into this somber exchange to make a completely stupid and jeuvenile “joke” based on a pun on the word “stone.”
I can not say that this jerk has ever said anything that would justify denying him the right to speak in a public conversation, but he is certainly someone I would never want to come into my house. And if I visited somewhere that he appeared, I would leave early.
A nice feature of some forums is the ability for individual members to filter out comments from those who chronically say stupid and tasteless things. It denies nobody his free speech. It simply denies everybody a guaranteed, captive audience.
Jerks will appear here, as well. It is the nature of the beast.
Thanks, Michelle, from a long-time reader and first-time commenter.
This and HotAir are my 2 must-reads every day, several times a day.
God bless!
Woohoo! LONG time reader, finally able to post…thanks! Love the new design, too.
Thanks in advance for allowing me to post my uninformed, half-baked responses to your intelligent, well-reasoned, and compelling blog. I am thrilled with this opportunity.
My daily net addiction consists of a quick online fix from Fox followed by a long, slow hit of Hot Air which then leaves me with the munchies for lots of your M&M’s. I love M&M’s.
I think I read somewhere that you had to close your comments due to the constant onslaught of malicious, profane, and threatening posts from the Regressive Progressives.
Rather than closing the comments again, or deleting the offensive posts, what if the most offensive and foul posts could be routed by admin to a section called the Out House (a proper receptacle for the post); or the Asylum; or perhaps the Out in Left Field Section; or the Loony Bin.
You could even have something polite like the section for Individual Disagreements Issued on the Subject. To make it more concise, you could just use the acronym for the section name.
The bottom line is that no matter what you call this very special section for these very special-needs people, they would all be right there for the whole darn world to view, like a freak show at the carnival. No more haughty claims that conservatives close their comments sections or that the right blog nuts are more deranged than the left blog nuts.
That’s my take anyway.
By the way, I write you in on any election form that’s handed to me. If you find out that you got elected dog catcher here, it okay: I’ll walk, feed, and clean up after the dogs for you. If you get elected President, well, then, remember me and get the damn IRS off my back.
Thanks for opening up for comments. Appreciated the link to the Marines wanting to hear from us. Looking forward to when you get your own show on Fox.
Ms. Malkin,
I have a new slogan for you.
The troops should support congress by sending them home.
Regards,
eric

Hey, I’m in!! Thanks for the comments Michelle, I hope it works better than last time!!
blacktygrrrr….I think you got a new bumper sticker!!!!
