Watch: Muslims Against Jihad
Barring any breaking crime news, Frank Gaffney and Martyn Burke’s “Banned on PBS: Muslims Against Jihad” will air shortly on Fox News Channel. Scheduled airtime is 9pm Eastern. It was bumped yesterday because the body of a missing pregnant woman was found in the afternoon. Here’s our Vent interview with Gaffney from May.

Here we go…
It’s starting now, how long a program is it? The DVR indicates it Hannity…
the program is scheduled to run 1-1/2 hours…
This all wouldn’t be so hard to swallow if not for the fact that our own worst enemies are, in many cases, our own misguided citizens.
How many times do we need to hear these “peaceful” people tell us that they want to snuff us and our way of life out before we take them at their word?
What an amazing program. It is a terrific documentary. The segment they just showed on honor killings was powerful.
yes, a very archaic concept! barbaric as well.
Muslims against jihad?
They are being very un-Islamic.
“Mohammed, the Messenger of Allah’s
eternal word, was not moderate. No moderate can legitimately tell another
Muslim to stop doing the extremist things Mohammed himself did. Also, the
Qur’an condones violence and coercion to further the Islamic agenda.
People whom we call moderates are labeled hypocrites by Allah Himself
in the Qur’an.” – from The tales of the Unicorn.
A first-rate documentary. Since PBS is subsidized by taxpayer dollars, we the public must hold the bosses there accountable for their political censorship. Is anyone in Congress listening?
I watched ‘Muslims against Jihad.’ Its disjointed presentation by FoxNews took away somewhat from ABG Film’s attempt to expose the radical Islamists. We need to see more documentaries and reports about their rise in Western societies and on where their political front groups are receiving funding. While I look forward to seeing ‘Islam vs. Islamists,’ it alone is far from enough.
How about that PBS management. First it was no, then it was let us edit in anti american “balance”, then it was the attempt to force the firing of Frank Gaffney who can think circles around all those squishy lib-tards at PeeBS.
I felt the presentation was indeed disjointed, with the cut-ins by ED Hill. Still, it is a powerful presentation.
So PBS didn’t want it aired on their oh-so righteous stations, so now it’s been seen by thousands more people on FoxNews than on PBS. It was also a good move for Fox to postpone it until Sunday night, as so many viewers were fixated on the murder in Ohio.
One point I found revealing: the Danish
jihadist who said that they were “slaves” to Allah. What a difference between that view and those of us Christians and Jews: we are seen as children of God, Who loves us as His own.
Is FoxNews repeating it at 11 pm Central (midnight in DC) for those that missed it the first time?
I watched the show and found it very enlightening.
PBS told me that their work hadn’t been formally produced thus couldn’t be scheduled for programming which I thought was pure BS. By running the program Fox is also given the tin-foil hatters yet another excuse to ban them for garnering more viewers than the crap competition.
The documentary is superb. But it is nearly unwatchable due to the obnoxiously excessive amount of commercials.
It’s a start. So when is “The 1/2 Hour News Hour” going to be on???
Try to check out the classic film Gunga Din Thursday (06/28) this week on TCM. For hundreds of years in India, even before English attempts at colonization, the Thuggees warped the Hindi concept of Kali into a murder cult eerily reminiscent of these “modern” Islamic fanatics. Indeed, Islam seems to be devolving into not much more than a death cult.
“PBS told me that their work hadn’t been formally produced thus couldn’t be scheduled for programming which I thought was pure BS.”
I have spent over 20 years working in the media and I can absolutely assure you that this is BS. PBS, the Discovery Channel and most others have at least some of their programming picked up by entirely independant producers with no affiliation to the network except as a sales and distribution venue. Even if they felt it wasn’t up to standard, they could have done what many places often do: beef it up – a little re-cutting (as Fox apparently did, I didn’t see it), maybe a different narrator/narration, a more intense music score, some graphics, etc.
This lame, lame excuse really underscores what we expect: it just didn’t fit their agenda.
I really do think a legal case could be made using this as primary evidence, since PBS is taxpayer funded. If someone could compile a list of documentaries PBS has aired with an opposing viewpoint, then much hay could be made and fines imposed using this film – and PBS’ refusal to run it with such a pathetic excuse – as a significant piece of evidence of that prejudice against opposing viewpoints. How, it could be argued, is it in the public good to air only one point of view when a show good enough for Fox News was created which showed an opposing point-of-view? Someone well-placed to launch such a suit against PBS might well consider doing so on those grounds.
From now on instead of PBS we should call them P-BS!
I had one heck of a time figuring out when this show was on, but it was well worth it when I caught up to it.
It was striking that PBS in its first meeting with the producers objected to a conservative. It’s pretty obvious they are screening out conservative thought. That’s OK if they want to do it on their own dime but it’s completely unacceptable for them to set up a lefty propaganda bureau with my tax bucks.
Of course, PBS should have broadcast this. Thank goodness for Fox News. I would like to see more documentaries that flesh out a point covered here, which is the Saudi campaign of financing mosques, recruiting, and radicalization as a means of conquering the US, and the West, for Islam.
I watched it. Well done, except for the constant interruptions.
What I don’t understand is ..What is Liberal? about Not showing this? I don’t understand that. Is it because Gaffney is a conservative, so they were just against anyone that leans right? I don’t understand the reason for not wanting this aired. Anyone?
I saw the program too. I can’t imagine why PBS wouldn’t want to air it.
The situation at PBS was very confused with regard to this film.
Evidently, the filmmaker didn’t finish on schedule. And I think PBS found that the subject matter was too close to another documentary they were airing in the same series – one that was much more sympathetic to the plight of regular Muslims.
As for the unabashed view of the cowing of moderate Muslims, I think that had a lot to do with not showing the film. Too much controversy from their base of liberal givers – the list of which they have sold to state Democratic parties before.
The more I think of it, the more pessimistic I become over whether Congress or the PBS will serve the public’s interest on this matter. When it comes to Saudi Arabia, identified as the bankroller of international terrorism in this piece, their money talks and BS walks.
